My apologies for the AT&T reference, as it's country-specific. AT&T provides service for my TV (IPTV), Internet, and telephone. I attached a picture of the network box that's on the back of my house. It has a cable connecting it to the breaker box. The signal comes in from the network box through two bonded-pair copper wires, into a gateway (modem/router combo), out a coax cable, into a set top box next to the TV, and then into the TV via an HDMI cable.
I figured it was probably a coincidence that the TV went out at the same time the...

I realize this is an old thread, so I may not get a response, but I'll try anyway.
Let me start by saying I have zero electronics repair experience, so I apologize if I ask a silly question.
I have a TC-P42ST30 that is just under 3 years old. Earlier today, an AT&T u-Verse tech was out trying to troubleshoot quality of service problems we've been having for a couple of weeks. He went outside to the AT&T network box, on the back of my house, to check for a good ground. Came inside and said it was okay and then left shortly...
