Re: Philips 200SP monitor flickers on a vertical band only
Hi HAHOME,
You're right, may be "Burn" was not the correct word.
Sorry for my bad english...
What I did : Reflow the solder to its contacts.
I heated the three mylar flex circuit with a heat gun, and I gently pressed them for some seconds.
Another mistake, I wrote:
I saw 8 connections to the panel (see on the right of the attached pic).
If you open the picture, the 8 connectors are on the top of the picture...but...

SOLVED ! : Philips 200SP monitor flickers on a vertical band only
As it was definitely not a badcaps problem,
I tried to think differently...
The problem started at 3/8 of the width of the screen, and finished at 5/8 of the width of the screen.
I had a look to the upper card and I saw 8 coonections to the panel (see on the right of the attached pic).
So, I tried a "last chance" repair.
I "burned" the 3rd 4th and 5th connection with a heat gun (same way that i already save a graphic card on a laptop)...

Philips 200SP monitor flickers on a vertical band only
Hi all,
I wonder if bad caps could create this flickering on a part of the screen only?
Please see picture. I surrounded the area where the problem is.
Any ideas ?...
