6.3 volt 1800uf caps
what would be safe upgrade for these caps in a motherboard, or simply use these ratings? 6.3 volts seems a bare minimum

Re: Hp vs 19
now its just black. I plugged the chassis in and was working the switch, the backlights would light up and then time out. I may touched something incorrectly now all is black

Hp vs 19
I have a totally white screen, wife came in to do some work and she fired up her computer and only one screen works correctly. I had repaired the caps around 4 years ago, thing it might be the ribbon cable possibly loose. I took the back off and the cable was secure. I searched the forums here for any knowns but am not able to see anything matching.
Are there any known quick fix concerns

lg e2340v display flickers
Just inherited this really nice flatron, the power supply was recently replaced with a new unit (external). So I opened the power supply and noticed what appeared to be cracked solder on the board. Perusing the forums I dont see any issues with this particular model. I attempted to repair the solder lines with no luck, so am I safe to assume the problem is in the supply?

Re: Acer AL 2016
I marked the ccfl's as I unplugged them but will recheck them. How do I go about the driver situation? What to look for?

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245B Black screen and blue Power LED
we stopped in at the local radio shack but they had none in stock, so I checked with MCM electronics but no luck there as well. I am very new to this. Are these wire wound or ??
the shack had 1/8 1/4 and 1/2 watt rated resistors but nothing in the 3 or 5 watt range. Im sure its something I havent put together in ratings.. Any help would be appreciated

Re: hp 19"
yes knowledge is the key. I've worked on cars for many years, and having installed new parts, I would have liked to know what was wrong with the part. a small step...

hp 19"
Just wanted to give a hardy thank you. Due to this site and the info I was able to repair our 19" monitor last night. It was a first for me. The info about the caps and the how to install was fun and not as difficult as I had thought.
Just something good to share.
