    back a few years ago bought a 60 inch sony projection tv that supposedly just needed a lamp for $50 from someone on craigslist. so i ordered the lamp and went to put it in and turned the tv on. what to my suprise blue speckles all over the screen. called the guy that i bought it from he basically said its your problem now. called sony to ask them about it and they said to stop using the tv as it had been recalled about the ballast for the lamp getting to hot causing melting as well as optical block recall. sony replace the tv with a 60 inch led tv (refurbished)...

    So the slow image and ghosting effect can't be caused by a bad panel? Panel powers on and off as it should with remote or power button. . Just want to double check before ordering new tcon.

    Tv powers on and "no signal" is displayed on screen. When you press menu it comes up but everything is in extremely slow motion. Checked all tab bonds at the bottom of screen all have good connection and I applied pressure to them to double check, which created no change. I then disconnected each 1 of 2 ribbons into t-con board 1 by one and then powered on. As I did this backlit still lit but just black screen no menu or no signal symbol nothing will display. But one thing I noticed is that there was a buzzing noise when both ribbons were connected to t-con like they should be. As I...

    Hi new here. Found this site as lightning hit our house and through the previous posting of other member was able to fix 5 tvs that were damaged and decided to join. I enjoyed fixing the tvs and kind of became a hobby.
