  • Re: Emachines LE1938 - replaced cap, now white screen

I don't see an option to edit my above post, so I apologize for the double. I am worried, since no one has replied, that it may have seemed like I was being a smarty pants before. It was an honest question, I really don't know. I am sorry if it was taken that way.

Thank you for your reply. Is it logical to think that a fuse blew between the time that I unplugged the monitor, took it apart and replaced the capacitor to the time I plugged it back in?

  • Emachines LE1938 - replaced cap, now white screen

    Hey everyone,
I have an Emachines LE1938 monitor (19") and it was doing the blink thing. I replaced the one bulging cap I had in there. Blinking problem is gone, now I have a blank white screen. I have searched and done some reading on the same model, and some different, threads. The ribbon cable is plugged in as it should be. I've checked and double checked all the connections. I have no idea what can be wrong with this thing now, but obviously it is something I did because it worked fine, apart from the blinking, before I "fixed" it.

    Obviously its not an expensive...

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

    Hi,
Came here to post about my PC monitor. I'm really pissed about it and not in a good mood atm. Also pissed about having to write this intro in order to post a thread to get some help. Look at me, jumping through hoops - weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
