Re: APC Back-ups RS 1500 Dead
Another rs1500 saved. My solder job is miserable (need a smaller iron tip for my hakko and more practice) but it's working now....

Re: Sanyo DP46841-00 No power, no lights, no picture
So this is really odd. Pin 1 on the control board (power button) reads 3.3 volts instead of 5 volts like the diagram indicates it should be. The RC board shows 5 volts like it should but they are both coming from the same feed so... wth?

ok so IC 1600 reads 2.08, 3.3, 5, 3.3 volts clockwise from pin 1.Last edited by kage; 02-21-2015, 06:19 PM.

Re: Sanyo DP46841-00 No power, no lights, no picture
If the power supply is providing 5V then IC1600 should take it in on pin 3 and produce 3.3 out of 2 and 4 which then feeds the digital main board telling it that the power cable is plugged in and the power supply is ready. Correct?

Re: Sanyo DP46841-00 No power, no lights, no picture
Why didn't you guys tell me I was photographing the wrong board. Not sure why I thought I needed to take pics of the digital main.
So if IC1600 is not putting out the correct voltage what does that mean.
I assume I need to have everything put together in order to test this IC?

Re: Sanyo DP46841-00 No power, no lights, no picture
I may make a few extensions for things like this.
Something with a small round insulated plug on one end and a gator clip or something on the other end so that I can plug them into the proper pins on the board and then clip the resistor into the clips (making sure it touches nothing metal). Would def come in handy both now and in the future....

Re: Sanyo DP46841-00 No power, no lights, no picture
How can I make that work without a plug of some kind? I can't even get readings without the plug in because I accidentally bridge the connections. The other end of that cable is soldered to the analog board so I cannot remove it....

Re: Sanyo DP46841-00 No power, no lights, no picture
Inverter board is the one that supplies power to the lamp correct?
It appears that the previous repair was done to the inverter as the connector is covered in what appears to be medical tape. I have not removed the cover on it yet. With it disconnected I get the same readings.
Also did I attach the images correctly? I don't want to make this difficult....Last edited by kage; 09-14-2014, 06:27 PM.
