    Thanks for the reply, but as I mentioned in my post, it's the voltages I'm concerned with. Won't applying too high or too low a voltage to replacement cause problems?

    ccfl tube replacement

    I recently tore apart a Dell E173fpb 17" lcd display and discovered that one of the four backlight tubes was hooched.

    From searching around on the internet, I see it's hard to get much info on the exact specs of these things. I found what looks like a close match for the one I need, but I want to be sure to get the right one as far as starting and runing voltages are concerned. Does anyone know what theses voltages are?

    Has anyone replaced on of these lamps on one of these displays? If so, do you have a part number and source where you purchased it from?...
