Re: LG 42LD560 - Worth fixing?
Yes, but I've read that the EAX number is not always the exact part, but that its better to go off the barcode stuck on there. Is that correct? The number on the main board is EAX61768305(1)

Re: LG 42LD560 - Worth fixing?
Yes I do have a multimeter. Where would I find a scrap TV of this model? Would I just have to patiently wait til one pops up on ebay or something?...

If that is the problem, I won't be going down that road.

LG 42LD560 - Worth fixing?
Hey guys,
So glad I found this forum.
I have recently acquired the LG 42LD560 LCD TV for cheap. I thought that it may be fixable, but not so sure after all that is not working on it.
The good:
- Powers on and off fine,
- Initial screen displaying LG logo and time (to be set) looks perfectly fine,
- Backlight seems to work fine
- Able to navigate through menus fine
The bad:
- After the initial screen, the screen dims a bit and flickers constantly,
- Tuner won't recognise any channels when auto-tuning so no...Last edited by A/V; 09-07-2014, 11:53 PM.

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi. I am a fiddler. I love fixing things, but I am relatively new to TV repair. So I look forward to learning a ton on this awesome forum!
