Re: Toshiba L855-10P Totally Dead
I've already made the order. It's not expensive at all, but the delay from China is an issue. I'll wait, thanks a lot anyway!!

Hi graham, that explains a lot. Have you tried to measure with inverse polarity too?...

Re: Toshiba L855-10P Totally Dead
It seems that others have similar issues with Toshiba's power circuits

I believe that there is not much left to search for, except replacing the U6000...Re: Toshiba L855-10P Totally Dead<br...g the U6000...Re: Toshiba L855-10P

Re: Toshiba L855-10P Totally Dead
Hi graham, sorry last night my Internet connection had a very hard time.
R6014 is 4.6K, R6015 missing.
Resistance between pins5-8 Q6010 and pins5-8 Q6011 : 19,9K OR 17,3K (polarity dependent)
D6002 pins1-3 res.: 19,9K OR 16,6K (polarity dependent)
khaahk, if U6000 is faulty, then the low voltage in ACDET would be explainable? Resistance ACDET to GND while connected to power is 87,3K. When not powered, 3,2K....Last edited by laz; 10-07-2014, 12:38 AM.

Re: Toshiba L855-10P Totally Dead
i see, yes but i can't explain it. pins 1-3 are also input to pin3 U6000.

Re: Toshiba L855-10P Totally Dead
graham, at Q6010 the pins 5-8 (Vin) are 19V....

Maybe U6000 has internal leak? ACDET to GRND is 3,2K.

Re: Toshiba L855-10P Totally Dead
graham thanks again for this valuable effort.
So far I notice an absence of voltage at many pins.
My values with no battery.
Q6010: pins 5-8: 19V. All others 0V
Q6011: all pins are 0V
Q6012: pins5-8: 0V pins1-3: 0,42V pin4: 0,2V
D6002: pin3:0,62V pin1:0V pin2:1,24V
U6000 (I've posted them)
pin14 is ground
pin15 is pin4 Q6001
pin18 is pin4 Q6000

I have no words man..... Can you also try to locate C6029?...

Re: Toshiba L855-10P Totally Dead
That's great news, if you manage to do it!!! I think that if that capacitor is partly short-circuited then the low voltage can be explained. But i still can't locate it....

Sure, no worries! Thanks again graham, I believe I am getting closer to the solution, but I also hope to find a good answer here......

Re: Toshiba L855-10P Totally Dead
Hi grahamw01, thanks a lot for the tip. Indeed I am getting 1,24V at R6002 (which was hard to discover). R6002 checked 20,5K. R6003 checked 3.3K. D6002 checked. Q6011 is replaced. My problem now is that i cannot find C6029 on the board....

Re: Toshiba L855-10P Totally Dead
Hello guys, I made measurements on U6000 (which is a TI bq24725A).
U6000 datasheet: https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/40e73d83b7794b9af87a999485119ff4.pdf
Motherboard schematics (hansie55): https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=92119&d=1407606750 (-->PAGE 5)
Laptop is dead, battery is not charging.
If you have any suggestions, please do it, i am on a dead end...

Re: Toshiba L855-10P Totally Dead
Hi again, unfortunately it didn't work. I replaced Q6010, Q6011 and Q6012. On my board only Q6012 is TPCA8065. The other two are N4800LS. I didn't notice any change, I am reading 0,42V on the battery pins....
