Re: Samsung PN58C550 No Power question
I just received my other main board and I put it into the tv and tried it out and the fuses blew again right away. It must be the psu or something else.

I checked the board and that is the number on the psu. I really appreciate you taking the time to help....

Re: Samsung PN58C550 No Power question
I'm trying to help out a family who doesn't have and can't afford a tv. It just happens to be a 58"tv that I picked up for free. They don't need it but I would like to help....

Re: Samsung PN58C550 No Power question
The picture you sent me looks like the same set. I do have a good tester but I'm not good at understanding it. I will try to test the psu tomorrow to see what the board reads. Thanks a lot for your help it's greatly appreciated!Last edited by kanescubs; 08-18-2014, 09:27 PM.

Re: Samsung PN58C550 No Power question
I just plugged them into the power supply then plugged the tv cord into the outlet. This may sound dumb but I can't figure out how to post pictures.

Re: Samsung PN58C550 No Power question
I'm not sure how to do the jumper test. Can you help me through it? Why do you think I'm blowing a fuse when I connect the main board? The back of the main board doesn't look great. I don't see burns but there is wearing on it. My power supply looks good I don't see anything visual but I know that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Samsung PN58C550 No Power question
I just picked up this tv and I'm trying to fix it to give it to a family in need. I took the back off the tv and replaced the blown fuses. I took all the connections off the power supply board and plugged the tv in and the fuses were ok. I then proceeded to plug one board at a time into the power supply to see if it would blow the fuses. All the boards were ok except the component board or main board (part BN41-01344A). Do you think if I replaced the part that's blowing the fuses it will fix my problem? I'm very new to this so any advice is greatly appreciated!
