Solider the new led bulb on that I got at ebay. (20 for $4).
Hard to get old one off.
I got the new one on and it worked for a bit. then shut off.
I think I need a whole new strip.
Hard to tell if I did a good job putting on the new led. And I'm usually good at this kind of repairs.Leave a comment:

So because of overheating is it best to replace just the one led? all the bulbs on the strip? replace the strip? Replace all the strips?
Is the overheating from a faulty power board?
Or is this just a design flaw and just replace the one led and pray?

ok I have a cr2032 off a laptop with leads. with 2.54v life left on it.
Were do test the bulbs?

There are a lot of clips holding the bezel / screen on to the metal.
I have it mostly open and can see inside there is one glass top lose inside...Leave a comment:

maybe thats whats rolling around behind the screen...
