Hi, I have a Lenovo Ideapad Z500 with motherboard VIWZ1_Z2 LA-9061P.
After pressing the power button, the power LED comes on for about 6 seconds and then shuts off.
+5VALW, +3VALW, +5V_PCH, +3V_PCH and are all ok.
I have missing +5VS, +3VS, +1.5VS and all the other main power rails due to the signal SUSP (generated by the EC KB9012QF-A3) stuck at GND.
The signals SLP_S3#, SLP_S4# and SLP_S5# (from PCH to EC) are all stuck at GND too while SLP_SUS# (from PCH to EC) is at +3V.
The signal RSMRST# (from EC to PCH) is at +2V.
Could comeone please...

Re: Asus ROG GL502VS - bricked BIOS
For now I think I'll wait to desolder it since I don't have a new one.
I found boardview and repair guide for GL502VT. It's similar to my board but not quite the same. I can try to follow it..
Do you think that a debug card with ELPC support would be helpful in my case?...

Re: Asus ROG GL502VS - bricked BIOS
First of all, thanks to both of you for your replies!
I already tried multiple BIOS dumps from other website and the behavior is always the same.
I have tried plugging a monitor in the HDMI port but I get nothing on the screen.
I would really love to start checking the voltages but I don't have a schematic for this laptop. How can I do?
That's a 1-to-1 DisplayPort 1.2 repeater. If it is the problem, will the PC boot without it?...

Re: Asus ROG GL502VS - bricked BIOS
I discovered that the Parade PS8330B chip gets very hot, too hot to the touch.
Could it be the culprit?

Asus ROG GL502VS - bricked BIOS
Hi,
I bought an Asus ROG GL502VS (that was supposed to be) with bricked BIOS.
I flashed the BIOS found in this post with a CH340G.
Now I get light on the power button, caps lock and white power indicator but the screen stays off and the fans don't spin.
I can feel that CPU and GPU get hot.
I already tried resetting the CMOS using the 2 jumpers (SMD pads) near the RAM slots with no luck.
Could somebody help me, please?
Thanks in advanceHi,
