Re: Acer 19" working?
Fair i guess. I just got a Westinghouse 19 recapped. That's why I'm asking. I'm definately not great at desoldering. All I have is a spring type tool.

Acer 19" working?
I am using an Acer AL1916W right now. I am trying to decide if I should open it up and change the caps or wait until it fails. I hate to mess with something that is working but I also hate not to prevent a failure. I don't leave my computer on so it only gets used a few hours a week. It's about a year old i think.
Any opinions?
Thanks,
Bob

Re: Issue with Westinghouse 19" LCD Monitor (large pics)
I tested the two fuses. F102 is good. F200 is bad. It has a #3 on it as best I can tell. Where do I get one of those and how do I know the value of it?
A parts board would be great but I hope all I need are the caps, chips, and the fuse. I already ordered the mosfets off of Ebay.
Thanks,
Bob

Crabs?
Anyway, I didn't know if the Taicon caps were better Quality or not since none of them are bulged. I took some more pics of the back of the board. let me know what part of the board and I can take very close shots if I can't find it myself.
Thanks,
Bob...

Re: Issue with Westinghouse 19" LCD Monitor (large pics)
Hello,
I am new here and to repairing LCD's. I have tinkered with a lot of other things though. Great info here. Thanks in advance!!
I too have a Westinghouse L1975NW with no backlight. But mine has a different board that the original one in this thread. It has two dual Mosfets parts number P605. Also about half of the caps are Capxon and the other half are Taicon. Only 4 of the Capxon are bulged. Should I replace the Taicon caps also or are they okay? Where is the fuse on the solder side...
