Re: ASUS P4P800 Deluxe will not POST
I just wanted to update everyone on my p4p800 deluxe board.
I pulled a few capacitors and tested them with a multimeter, quite a few were coming up bad so I ended up replacing all of them... and the board has been working fine!
It's been about 3 weeks now, though I haven't given it a 'workout' yet it -- just installed an OS and some web surfing. I'll post back should it fail again.

After another CMOS reset I got another few boots out of it (leaving the motherboard battery out for a day; I tried just a quick battery removal and using the reset jumper but that didn't work, so maybe it had more to do with sitting around for a day without power than the CMOS reset?) and then another failure (this time it crashed just after loading windows, tried to restart and then hung with the fans spinning and no video).

Re: ASUS P4P800 Deluxe will not POST
I had the same symptom with my p4p800 deluxe. It happened intermittently at first upon reboot, fans would spin but no video, no apparent post. I could turn it off by holding down the power button and then it would start normally.
A couple weeks later it crashed while transferring files to my media player using one of the front usb connectors. A short while later it refused to boot, the green LED on the motherboard still lit up, but nothing else (known good psu and with just cpu, 1 stick ram, and video card installed).
