Re: Sony Bravia KDL 46z4500 display band
Update on screen display fault. Finally located a replacement tcon and fitted, all seems good, no display band or any other related fault. So it seems it was the tcon at fault. Thanks to all replies.

Thanks for reply. Not good news. Thought might be something else because only covered one quarter of the screen, but accept this could be the case. Many thanks.

Sony Bravia KDL 46z4500 display band
Just picked up Sony bravia KDL 46Z4500 which has a problem showing on display as a band on the second quarter which only appears after TV has warmed up for about 20 minutes. Have stripped down display to check ribbons, tryed swapping ribbons to see if ribbon problem, but no change. Pushed tabs to see if any change but no. Nothing else appears to be obvious, I have concentrated on the tcon area, ribbons and tabs so far, as this seemed the obvious area to me.
Any input would be appreciated, perhaps someone has had the same problem, many thanks....

Technika x23/50e
Thought I would just share experience of recent repair. From standby when turning on green light for 3 seconds and back to standby. Found 7 x 25v 470 uF caps on PSU bad, c10 through to c16, all bad, highest reading 30 uF on meter. When replaced with decent caps running perfect. Got to say what cheap lot of rubbish inside. Mind you repair parts cost all of £1.12. Shame they did not spend a little more on parts in the first place.

Re: Sharp LC32AD5E-BK Vertical lines when cold
Checked panel and tabs to panel and reseated two ribbons to tcon. Turned on straight away. Waited till next morning turned on and same problem. Turned TV off and back on 10 minutes later turned on perfect straight away and now will not show fault . frustrating intermittent problem. Will leave off and try again later. When on perfect picture.

Sharp LC32AD5E-BK Vertical lines when cold
Sharp lc32AD5EBK when you first power on displays bold vertical coloured lines which fade in and out and change colour, completely dissapear after 10 minutes or so and then picture is perfect and will stay perfect until you turn off and leave for a while. If you turn off and turn back on no problem.
Have tried replacement PSU which made no difference.
Have tried replacement tcon which made no difference.
Wondered if anyone has come across this problem on this, or any other make. Please see attached photos. Any help would be appreciated....

Re: Samsung LE37R87BD ghosting temporary image retention
Changed t-con board, image retention and ghosting gone, but fine vertical lines on display and colour not perfect. Running at present to see if any change. Have double checked tabs to panel and pins to tcon board. Changed caps on PSU cm 860,852 & 870 all bad, all other caps on PSU checked and OK. Wondered if another component may have been affected by caps and tcon faults possibly main board. Attached photo of display at present, showing fine vertical lines.
