Re: KDS K-92BW Turns off
Well got a better measurement this morning.
16.6 inches (419mm) by about 2mm diameter.
Again not sure of what the voltages are such as startup and running peak, current, amps, watts. How do I find these out.
Also where is the best place to buy these lamps. Should I replace all 4 as 3 of them look dark in the corners.

Re: KDS K-92BW Turns off
I got the backlights out...four of them.
They seem to be 16 inches long and really thin. Not sure how I'm going to measure the diameter.
Anyhow, while shopping online for a match I notice alot of places need the voltage and running amps etc. How do you know these things? Will this make a difference?

Re: Controlling 4 monitor's power using a relay.
When I built my game cabinet I used a 12v relay that triggers 120v.
I connected the 12v from one the computers power supply wires and connected a power bar to the 120 side.
When the power on the computer is applied it trips the relay and in turn allows the 120v through to the power bar.
I got the relay for $15.00. I can get you the model # if needed.

Re: KDS K-92BW Turns off
Well I tried the flashlight thing but could not see an image. However I don't think the flashlight was bright enough as it was LED.
Anyhow I disconnected the screen from the ribbion cable and left only the HV connections. Powered on the screen and got a white background light for a few seconds and it went dark again.
I then took another 19" screen I had laying around out of another brand, connected it to the HV only and get the white background lights only this time is remains on.
I assume it must be a failing...

Re: KDS K-92BW Turns off
Just noticed the board is actually 200-000-171DTLBMH or ETL-XPC-204. A search on the net turned up a few pics but no schematics.

KDS K-92BW Turns off
Hello Everyone,
I've done a few LCD repairs in the past usually the normal capacitor repair and few times I've had to diagnose shorts in diodes etc.
Anyhow, this time I have an 19" LCD that turns on for two/three secondsand the screen lights perfectly then turns off and the LED stays solid meaning the monitor is still detecting a signal. Turning the monitor of and on again provides the same result. Comes on for 2/3 secs then off.
I've removed the board and all the caps look good (blue HEC 105 degree's). All the solder joints etc also look good....
