So the initial diagnosis of 'output drops to zero' was somewhat incorrect. It appears to drop from 5.3V stable to around 2.8V (I had probed the wrong pins on the standby board). At the very least I'll be able to come up with appropriate part numbers for the caps on the 1W SMPS board, though will even the small ceramic HV caps require replacement?Re: RCA L32WD12 Power Supply Problems

RCA L32WD12 Power Supply Problems
So, this is probably very similar to a number of threads regarding similar L##WD12 series RCA TVs with bum power supplies but I just want to confirm my initial diagnosis.
What I know:
- Pressing power button causes 1W SMPS relay to switch over, power LED blinks red.
- 1W SMPS 5.3V standby voltage appears to be good, drops to zero though when relay clicks
- Main PSU is getting AC when relay switches
- Main PSU PS_ON rail is getting 3.13V, neither 5V or 24V rails are coming up though.
- Applying 3.3V to PS_ON on the main SMPS does not cause the backlight...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello all!
Looking for help on repairing a (free) TV and save it from the landfill. Already got plenty of electronics experience under my belt, so hopefully some extra knowledge from here can fill in the holes for troubleshooting.
