Re: Samsung lcd tv #ln32a330j1d display issue
Thought I would update the status in case others have the same issue. I took the new IC and the TCON board to a local repair guy and had him change it. I then Installed the board back in the TV and... crap.
Same issue. Still solarized. i feel ready to throw in the towel on this TV.

I could not find the Tcon board so I ordered the IC. I have a month to practice my soldering skills prior to it arriving.

Re: Samsung lcd tv #ln32a330j1d display issue
Thank you Tom. I will now try and source the part. I'm not sure how easy that will be in Canada. If it is within the forum rules for someone to suggest places near Toronto to try i would appreciate the guidance.

Re: Samsung lcd tv #ln32a330j1d display issue
Sorry for my carelessness. These are the 15 gamma voltages.
0, 3, 3.8, 4.5, 5, 6, 6.2, 6.7, 7, 7.7, 8.6, 9, 9.7, 10.9, 13
I was curious about the VCM, so I powered down the unit and watched the VCM voltage during startup. It started at 6v and steadily dropped, after 15 seconds it was down below 1v. Is that suspicious?
Thanks very much for your assistance.

Re: Samsung lcd tv #ln32a330j1d display issue
I have the same Tcon board in my Samsung and am having the same problem. The TV turns on and looks fine, within 2-3 seconds the picture fades until it looks just like OP's in about 10 seconds.
I tested the gamma voltages and they seem ok (0, 3, 3.8, 4.5, 6, 6.2, 6.7, 7, 7.7, 8.6, 10.9, 13
The VCM is only showing 0.13V, well short of 7!
It does have the AS15G IC, should I go ahead and swap that out or am I looking at a different issue?
