So what could be the next best move here? I read somewhere that one can put some kind of shims in place at the ribbon cables but I really wanted something more permanent. Is it possible for the TCON on these models to fail?

It was a bad main board that caused these issues. replaced and TV is working brilliantly

I have been given a Samsung LE40D503F7W to fix and I am really not sure what the problem is.

The TV comes on but there is blue and green hues on the screen which makes it very hard to see what is actually meant to be on the display at the time. The hues tend to move across the screen also with picture movement and then darkness on the screen follows on after a short while.

it seems like its a TCON problem but when I took the TV apart the TCON is attached to the bottom of the screen by two ribbon cables. I have managed to source a secondhand TCON...

I have a goodmans LD3261HDFVT 32" LCD tv and I have a problem with it. When I first acquired it it would come on for a few seconds and show a channel number before going back to standby. After much searching I found and replaced the PSU board which stopped the standby issues.

The tv then came on and gave me sound but no image on screen other then what can only be described as a bluey-white screen.

Therefore I changed out the mainboard and the T-con board and still no joy in getting a picture.

What could be causing this? Could...
