Re: Samsung 75 LED UN75F6300
I dont know where my last post went but I was able to disassemble from the back . However, I will reassemble towards the front. The problem seems obvious, but I will test the others as soon as figure out how/where. Heres some pics of the led and the damage. The previous owner said it wet out in two phases. First a dark line across the center then the whole top. The last photo is an led. I have no clue where the rest of the blob went. The second to last photo is what I'm assuming is a fuse. Hopefully I only need one strip!...

Re: Samsung 75 LED UN75F6300
I just inhereited this same tv with the same problem, and I'm limited in space. If i remove the screws from the bottom and set it on the bottom; will i be able to continue the disassembly?...

Re: Westinghouse TW-62401-U046A right half led bank shorted
We'll just so future readers know I fixed it. A little unorthodox but it's fixed. I cut the bad end of the cable off flipped it around. used the good end in the led strip's connector and the other in the main board's connector. I scraped off the coating on the wire with a razor blade then trimmed a pice of tape from the back of the tv to make up the width of the cable. Be sure to watch witch way it goes in if you forget look at the lettering on the other one.

Re: Westinghouse TW-62401-U046A right half led bank shorted
I have the same problem right bank of LEDs with a shorted ribbon cable. I have yet to look closely at it, but don't the connectors on the board pierce the cable to make the connection. (I'm not certain, it was what I was told and it seems logical). The side on the circuit board has a flap that flips down on the cable. I'm not so sure about the led side. Any if that's true could one buy some generic cable with a higher temp rating. At the same time 105c seems like it should be enough. Or is it a problem with a bad connector,...

Re: Toshiba 52XV645U LCD Dead Power Supply
So I tested 5 MOSFETs and one pnp. The pic below is of my results. I was under the impression that I should have read OL when discharged with the diode check. However when switched to ohms readings were in M ohms. Is this usual or am I doing it wrong? Prob just a lack in experience. Also if I need to be posting somewhere else let me know where....

Re: Toshiba 52XV645U LCD Dead Power Supply
I have a similar problem. A resistor reading open. I have yet to check those two. I just started "tv repairs" so I don't know very much however iv been reading a book on power supplies. But aside from the resistor I "found" (I was looking for a schematic and found a "repair kit" on eBay that pointed me in the right directionmy meter reads 30vac from the chassis ground to neutral. Is this normal? Also I get ac readings past the bridge rectifier 50vac or so. Is that because of the way the meter works? I'm...
