Re: M3D650SV Vizio - no power - went down during storm and lightening
Any thoughts on the next step? From what I can see all the boards look good and I posted picks in hopes someone may catch something bad from a pic. Should I buy a main board? I'm not sure what to do next... Thanks

Re: M3D650SV Vizio - no power - went down during storm and lightening
Here's the PSU (original one before power issue) front and back. The new one is installed currently. If needed I can take a back of the board pic of the new PSU.
I circled the areas i thought had leaked from the power surge on the old PSU pic. In the center of the circle there's some brown dried liquid. Not sure if that was damage or not. It could just be glue.
Also have pics of the entire back off of the tv with the boards in place. One with covers and one with no covers.

Re: M3D650SV Vizio - no power - went down during storm and lightening
TO CLARIFY I HAVE THE Vizio M3D650SV not the M3D651SV. I pasted the correct name in my thread title, but then the wrong on in the initial thread post content.
Here's the AUO - LED driver board. Front back and side. I tried to get a side pic of the caps to show what I thought shows them in good condition.Re: M3D650SV Vizio - no power - went down during storm and lightening

Re: M3D650SV Vizio - no power - went down during storm and lightening
Here's the main board front and back. I was pulling the wires today and I pulled out the bottom left white/blue tipped ribbon and the connector piece stayed on the board. I'm hoping this is the purpose of this line, but i.m not sure. So the white plastic connector or board connection is still on the board. I also attached a pic of this connection and how it looks after trying to pull it from the board. Hopefully it just slides back in and the connector is meant to stay on the board??...

M3D650SV Vizio - no power - went down during storm and lightening
My M3D651SV Vizio went down about 2 weeks ago during a storm with some bad lightening. The house never lost power during the storm, but we had a tornado warning and sirens and I had to go to the basement. The TV was on the local news watching the storm when we had to head downstairs. When I came back up the TV had the 'no signal' message on the screen and the screen was black. I could not turn the tv off with the remotes (TV or cablebox remote). I can't currently remember how I shut it down for the night.... The next day the TV had the orange vizio logo lit up, but the remotes still had not effect...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello
New to the forum and have a vizio that has gone powerless. Ive been searching the net and this board to try to fix the tv. I've bought a psu, which didn't fix my issue and then tested 3 fuses on various boards. I will update my profile, search some and then start a new thread with the model of my tv. Thanks for keeping this forum up and running.
Have a good one.
Bob
