I've already updated the bios from gateway. The baord installed is the same part number but different version, but gateway says it is upgradable

I formated the old drive used both the gateway and a 98se restore(boot) disk and then tried the win 2000 disk get up to "starting windows" I get a blue screen with a white bar at the bottom and it goes no further. I then installed ME using the gateway restore discs and it loads fine. I then tried to upgrade with the 2000 disc. Same thing. I have an XP disk as well which does the same thing. Gateway says the board is upgradableLeave a comment:

I recently replace my mother board after unsucessful cap changed. It is a gateway microflex. I can reinstall win ME but can't upgrade to 2000 which I was running before the crash. Anyone know how to reload win 2000?
