  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

I've been making a living as a technician for 17 years. Whether it was game console modding in the mid 90s, hi-fi audio gear restoration, laptop repair, it's something technically related. One thing I am interested in if you have a scotle IR6000 V4 - how do you get the thing to work with the temperature sensor?

Mine won't go over 50-100c if I have the temp sensor anywhere near heat. If I toss it off the machine entirely, the profiles will start to work, but this is obviously pointlessbecause if I do not know the temperature I am using the machine at the profile cannot run properly and it cannot do a proper job.

You can kill a motherboard putting it in there. You can also make them better. Such is risk. The risk is mitigated by using some common sense

50-60 celsius, a gallon of distilled water and 100 milliliters of bransonic EC for 90 seconds does a great job. If you use too high a concentration of fluid, too much time in the machine, or too much heat, you can kill it.

Cellphone boards are more likely to die for no reason than laptop motherboards.
