  • Capacitors price fixing case filed

I posted a while back on this forum about an ongoing investigation our firm had into price fixing by some of the biggest capacitors manufacturers. We filed a complaint for Chip-Tech, Ltd. based on our findings this past Friday:

If you bought aluminum or tantalum electrolytic capacitors directly from any of the following manufacturers from January 1, 2005 to present, you may fall within the definition of the class:

    Panasonic, Sanyo, Taiyo Yuden, NEC...

    Capacitors Price-Fixing?

    Howdy,

New non-techie member here posting by permission of BadCaps management.

My law firm is investigating the bases for a class action lawsuit against the large capacitor manufacturers based on their fixing prices among themselves for capacitors sold into the United States market within the last 10 years.

There's actually been a good bit about this in the press about this lately. The DOJ and the Chinese authorities are working together following a large capacitor manufacturer self-reporting themselves to seek leniency, and the Japanese authorities...

    Howdy, new member here.

With the blessing of BadCaps management, I'm posting here. I'm an attorney with the Joseph Saveri Law Firm in San Francisco, and we are investigating price-fixing by the big capacitor manufacturers. If you google "capacitors" and "antitrust" you'll find a number of articles on the recent investigations by the DOJ, and regulatory enforcement by authorities in Japan, China and Korea.

We're looking to see if anyone has noticed any suspicious pricing increases...
