Re: Packard Bell NS11-HR-103 no power
the cap looks fine finally! so it may be the 4102 who shut down!...

Re: Packard Bell NS11-HR-103 no power
perhaps I found the guilty part. I think it's PTC4101 because when I apply the multimeter on him to mesure the resistance, the display goes to 6ohm but the other cap the display goes up high and continue to move...
and what do you think? am I right?...

Re: Packard Bell NS11-HR-103 no power
For me it was strange too to have different voltage of DCBATOUT, but when I checked the adaptor output it was the same voltage value. I cheked a different adaptor that i use on a different laptop that work perfectly, I saw that's was the same thing, and no problem.
I cheked
PU 4001 ( pin 4 5,55V others 16,96V )
PU 4002 ( pin 1-4 16,95V others 0,70V ),
PU 4004 ( pin 1-4 0,70V others 16,92V ),
PU 4005 ( pin 1-4 0V others 0,80V )
I cheked all coins and theirs resistance reading to...

Re: Packard Bell NS11-HR-103 no power
I checked all coils to detect shorts to ground but nothing came out. they have at least 25ohm to ground.

Re: Packard Bell NS11-HR-103 no power
I cheked the voltage of 5V/3D3V chip :
(with an inpud dc 16,8V)
1=0,85v
2=0v
3=1,57
4=1,57
5=0
6=0,94
7=0
8=2,68

18=2,5
19=0.1
20=4,15
21=4,15
22=8,05
23=0
24=4,18
LDOs of the chip
Can you explain where to check 3.3v and 5v main ?
I don't have capacitor but...

Re: Packard Bell NS11-HR-103 no power
thanks ktmmotocross, you're right. I found the 5V/3D3V chip and I cheked all pin and their values.....
and i touched him to see...ouch!!! it was over heating to over 50°C.
to replace him the reference was RT8223MGQW with EQ=DH N1N on the chip.
is RT8223MGQW EQ=DC or EQ=EE is fine for replacement?
thanks for your reply

4=0
5=0
6=0
7=0
8=0

25=4,18
26=4,18
27=16,13
28=16,13
and something very strange the cap C5905 have no resistance at all (over 200Mhom).

Packard Bell NS11-HR-103 no power
Good day to everyone. I hope you guys can help me regarding this PBell laptop. This came one week ago, and it has no power and no blinking lights. I've tested the power adapter and it is perfectly working. I did disassembled it and saw no damage.
To fix the problem, I found a schematic diagram of its motherboard in this forum because I'm very lucky and found that laptop have the same motherboard than Acer Aspire 4750_4750G_Wistron_JE40-HR.
Here's the exact model of the laptop: Packard Bell Easynote NS11-HR-103 and also this is printed on the motherboard itself: JE40-HR-MB...
