Vizio E320i-A2 Won't Power On
Evening. I am currently working on fixing a Vizio E320i-A2 Smart HDTV. It doesn't power on from the remote or the power button. I have tested the voltages coming from the boards. Power board seems to sending the correct voltages to the main board. Could you guys comment on the next steps to take or what may be the problem..thanks.
I'll attach a picture showing where voltages 'checked-out'. Give me one moment.
EDIT:
Looking at the main board, The uppermost connection is to the speakers; I assume there's no voltage there due to the TV not being "powered...Last edited by thetugboat; 07-13-2014, 07:14 PM.

Re: Sharp LC-60LE835U 60" Smart HDTV -- Bad HDMI
Thanks for reminding me, I did forget to try that. I did try several HDMI devices, with separate HDMI cables, though.
A few minutes ago, from the adjustment menu, I ran the command "Industry Init," which restores everything to a from-factory state. The HDMI ports are still non-functional, sadly.
I also tried to write the HDMI EDIDs after this factory reset, which failed with code "write NG" again....Last edited by thetugboat; 06-27-2014, 12:19 PM.

Re: Sharp LC-60LE835U 60" Smart HDTV -- Bad HDMI
Thanks a lot for the reassurance guys. I'll try to check the power board's voltages as well to be more certain. I need to read up in the service manual about the correct voltages first. I couldn't find them displayed on the board itself as is the case with many power boards.
EDIT: The TV was damaged from within a single home.
That makes me feel more comfortable. Especially considering the main board appears to run ~$150.00....Last edited by thetugboat; 06-27-2014, 09:58 AM.

Sharp LC-60LE835U 60" Smart HDTV -- Bad HDMI
[FONT="Arial Black"][SIZE="3"]
Good morning forum,
I have a Sharp LC-60LE835U in my possession that was functioning well until about two weeks ago after a lightning storm. Now, the HDMI inputs (4) and USB ports (2) no longer work. However, it seems that everything else (every analog input, audio, WiFi, TV apps) works as well as it should.
My first assumption was to just purchase another main board to solve the problem. While posting for assistance on another site, that choice was seconded as the correct choice to make. I was just wondering, though,...Last edited by thetugboat; 06-27-2014, 09:38 AM.
