Re: Screen went dark, no sound - TC-P60GT30
So, I took the back cover off, powered up the TV, and the checked the LED indicators on the SC and SS boards. They are both lit green. The TV has a mfg date of MAY2011. I noticed after a few minutes that there was a light being reflected off the wall, and when I checked, the TV is now working. I don't know what I did, but I must be some kind of genius!!

Hi Tom,
I posted a thread for a Panasonic Viera TC-P60GT30 problem. Could you weigh in on that thread, and if possible when you do, tell me where to find the Service Manual and a good place for parts? I have the 55" manual from this site and hoping its same/similar. Thanks!

Yeah, I'm going to go through the procedures in the Service Manual this weekend. Hoping the one I have for the 55" version is pretty much the same as mine. I hope you're right about the power supply due to no sound. Also, for the boards in the Panasonic plasmas, can you recommend where to get replacements?

Re: Screen went dark, no sound - TC-P60GT30
Hi, Thanks for the reply. The light comes on with no blinks. The screen turns on, but is dark. The TV shuts off automatically after a short time. It takes a few minutes, but I haven't timed it. I am pretty knowledgeable with electronics and am comfortable with testing and repairing down to the board level, but I'm not as capable at the component level due to inexperience soldering. I understand how to do it, but just haven't done it much. I have done a lot of work on automotive electronics, engine management and wiring. I have the service...

Screen went dark, no sound - TC-P60GT30
The TV all of a sudden went dark with no sound. The power light does not blink. No startup information box shows up when turning the TV on, nor does the menu or Viera Cast menus work. I have unplugged the TV for extended periods with no change. When plugging the TV plug into the socket, there is a clicking noise, as if I tried to turn it on. Then there are a couple of clicks when I try to power to TV on. Can anyone tell me what is likely the problem?

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi,
Roger from Virginia. I have a Panasonic Viera GT30 that just went dark with no sound. Some clicking on startup and plugging in. Also, no menus or vieracast app menus, and nothing works. I will be posting in the TV Troubleshooting forum as soon as I can. I'm currently recovering from ankle surgery to fix numerous injuries over the years with the Army, so now is the worst time to not have my TV!
