Also the board has the numbers A1728748A which seems to be some sort of model number for the board as well. Kind of confusing but thanks again.

I have a mixture of these issues.

I have the original BU board on my kdl 52w5100 (1-879-224-14) and the backlight will come on when I initially turn the power on but then it turns off and the power light flashes red 8 times pauses and does it over and over. So I opened the tv and found out that the BU board had a damaged piece (image 1 red circled piece was loose and fell off). I bought a replacement board off a ebay (1-879-224-14) and this was supposedly working when they removed it from a damaged...
