hello, did you ever fix that 50h5g hisense?
-
Re: 50H5G no backlight
You said bad LEDs.
I said I didn't have voltage to the LEDs from the PS.
You said to check again to see if the voltage jumped when turned on.
I said it didn't.
Then I heard nothing else.
Even with bad LEDs shouldn't there be voltage from the PS to the LEDs?...

Re: 50H5G no backlight
Bump. Purchased a used PS and I am still only getting 2 volts off the PS to the LED's.

Re: 50H5G no backlight
Sorry. It's a hisense. I thought it was the LED's before I opened it but there are no voltages to the LEDs from the PS.

50H5G no backlight
Have a Hisense 50H5G no backlight. Can see a picture with a flashlight.
I have 2v on the red wire and 0 volt on the white wire going to the LEDs.
PWM2 is 3.2v and SW is 2.8. IS SW BL_ON and is that voltage high enough?
From the top down
19v (16v)
19v (16v)
0v (GRD)
3.7v (STBY?)
12v (12v)
12v (12V
2.8v SW
3.2v PWM2
0v (GRD)
0v GRD)
Main filter caps on PS is 380v...Last edited by SHADOW3277; 11-06-2017, 11:16 AM.

RCA 46LB45RQ Inverted picture after eeprom replacement.
Picked up this tv that had no backlights, which after testing, determined to be a bad eeprom. I ordered a replacement from SJ and installed it. I now have a perfect picture.....except that it is upside down. I accessed the service menu but can't find an option to flip the image. Anyone know what setting it is? I've attached a pic of the service menu options....

Re: Looking for EEPROM software for LG EBU60935403 42LE5400-UC
Yes, I found them for other models at 30 but nothing for this model. There was also a guy selling them for a similar model on ebay but he is out of stock. Correct me if i am mistaken, I have to use one orogrammed for this tv, I can't just use any because of the different panels being used,

Re: Looking for EEPROM software for LG EBU60935403 42LE5400-UC
dick_barton - I haven't tried on this set but I did try a previous set because I have done that very thing with sony's. I'll dig up my flash drive and try on this one.
diif - Is the EEPROM pre-programmed? I have tried searching for a pre-programmed eeprom and have not found anything. Do you have a link for a pre-programmed eeprom?

Looking for EEPROM software for LG EBU60935403 42LE5400-UC
Hey guys. I've tried searching and haven't found it online anywhere. I looked in the EEPROM dump thread above and it's not there. Does anyone know where I can get the files to flash on an EEPROM for this board? No one sells the eeprom already flashed but I can flash it myself if I can get the files. I've picked up 4 of these tv's in the last 6 months that had a bad eeprom that I've had to just strip the parts and I'd like to start fixing them if I could. Thanks

Re: Sony KDL-40NX711 Vertical Roll
Success! I cut the tape in half the picture is no longer darker on the one side.
Thank you everyone that weighed in to help!

Re: Sony KDL-40NX711 Vertical Roll
Andrew - After a lot of trial and error with the tape I've got clear picture (mostly). On the left side of the picture I can see some vertical lines and you can see where they end when you transition to the right ( the left side is darker than the right). Is this the best I can expect or should I keep trying to get it better. I've attached a pic, not sure how much it helps....
