I am working on a Samsung UN46D6003SFXZA LCD/LED TV which worked but the backlight LEDs were failing. I got it down to the LEDs which are all along the top and consist of two strips of 72 LEDs each.
When replacing the LED strips, I only disconnected the cable to the little Remote control sensing PC board in the lower right hand corner and the cables to the panel. Nothing else on the back was disconnected or any of the boards removed.
After replacing the LEDs and connecting all, the red light comes on when plugged in but the TV will not turn on using either the remote...

Samsung UN46D6003SFXZA LED failures
I am working on a Samsung UN46D6003SFXZA LCD/LED TV which the backlight LEDs are failing. I have it stripped down to the LED strips. The LEDs are all along the top and consist of two strips of 72 LEDs each.
My problem is that I can not find any replacements for the strips. Nowhere is there the normal Samsung BNxxxx part number, On the two strips there are three sets of numbers.
The right half has L419H – 101845 – L46001 and the left one has L419H – 182900 – M46001 on a little sticker on the back of the strip.
My question is, does anyone know...

Insignia ns-32e440a13 LED TV
This unit has sound but no back light.
Trouble shooting I found that D51 the diode in the LED drive boost circuit, between the Inductor and C17 output cap, is shorted.
It is a SMD part and has two markings on it. C310 & CH2d. Searching the web, I have come up blank. Does anyone have any info on it.
Thanks

Re: Samsung un50h6201 - solarized
Thanks chrismurphy, I was thinking that it might be a tab bond problem.
I thought a good check would be to swap the cables between the TCON and the panel.
Since the cables are not long enough, This brings up two questions.
- Can you power up with only one cable connected?
- Can you power up without the TCON being mounted? Again cable length problem.
Thanks

Samsung un50h6201 - solarized
I recently picked up a Samsung un50h6201 LCD TV. All works except the part of the screen is solarized. The left ½ is fine. From the center going right for about ¾ of the way the screen is bad and then for the rest, it is fine again.
I think I know what the problem is but only tinkering with TVs is a hobby, I thought you guys with a lot more experience could help me out.
My question is, can a TCON board cause this kind of problems or is it a bad panel
Attached is a picture of the screen. I thought I had the flash turned off but obviously not....

Re: SAMSUNG LN46A650A1FXZA tcon prevented startup
Hi all, I am working on a Samsung LN46A650A1FXZA 46 inch LCD TV.
The TV has the same start loop problem as icekillah has. It starts and then shuts off and then repeats & repeats etc. My TCON board is the same as the picture posted by icekillah too.
Searching this site there are many complaints of bad capacitors. A visual inspection did not show any bulges or leaky ones. I removed the power supply board and checked all the caps for a high ESR. All caps where well within acceptable values. Thus, I did not...

Mitsubishi WD-82837 Software
Hi,
I Have a Mitsubishi wd-82837 with software version V41+_11_01. There are two later versions of software available for this TV. V41+_11_02 & V41+_11_03.
I would like to know if anyone knew what are the purposes of these software updates and what changes after they are installed.
The Mitsubishi web site doesn't give any info on these updates.
Thanks

RCA 42PA30RQ Sound but no picture repair
I just finished repairing a RCA 42PA30RQ 42 inch plasma TV working and thought I would pass on what I found. It had the common problems of sound, no picture, and VS would not stay at 207V. I ended up repairing the Y Buffer board and the X Board.
The things I found while troubleshooting it are as follows:
- At least in this set, If the VS does not come on and stay on at 207 volts, there is a problem somewhere in one or more of the boards. You can disconnect both the Y and X boards and if the PS is good, VS will go to 207V and stay there.
- The X board...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi, I am a retired Electrical Engineer which has had electronics as a hobby for over 50 years. I love to fix things that I get at garage sales more than use them. I usually give them away after I get them fixed.
This is a great site. Much more info than just capacitor problems.
