Hello all!

Almost two weeks ago, I came into possession of an LG 50PG20 plasma TV that will not turn on at all. No red standby light or anything. The original owners tried getting it repaired once already and the repairman told them it was a problem with one of the fuses on the power supply. He tried fixing it by replacing the bad fuse but the original owners of the TV said it didn't last very long. However, I don't think the repairman did a very good job, as I'll get to in a moment.

I took the back off the TV and none of the caps on the power supply or other boards...

I'm Nick from South Dakota and I've been a software engineer for about 7 years now. Like most, I've built a few computers in my time but never soldered anything in my life.

I've obtained a broken LG 50PG20 plasma TV that doesn't turn on at all and after lurking on the forums for a week or so I'm thinking the problem is the power supply. I"m hoping I'll be able to get this TV up and running with some help from this forum.
