Since Vizio states these TVs update only over the internet, is there a way to replace the eeprom and jtag the board to write the firmware or flash it using the USB port?

I have the same exact TV doing pretty much the same thing. I do believe it's a firmware or eeprom issue but not sure how to update since Vizio states they only update over the internet. I opened a new thread about mine totally missing this thread. Hopefully someone with someone knows how to get a replacement chip or reflash the firmware on these.Leave a comment:

Vizio M470SV
Ok guys and gals. I have this TV, Vizio M470SV. It was working fine and then all of a sudden started becoming VERY slow to commands and then even shutting off at times. I have reset and factory reset (cleared memory) and still same issues. I was thinking it maybe the eeprom or firmware but not sure. The TV is now pretty much unusable at this time. Any ideas or suggestions?... -
