  • Re: LPT1 POrt to USB

My ethernet port is connected to DSL for fax use. But thank you! I have an Intel Pentium Dual CPU connected to the A port and I had to get it to recognize USB devices before it would work, but it is LPT to LPT. I cannot locate a command that would allow the LPT to recognize USB on the Dell.

  • LPT1 POrt to USB

I have a Dell Optiplex GX270 I am trying to connect to a HP Office Jet 6310 All-In-One Printer via a Belkin A,B,C,D Data Switch. I am coming off of the GX270 from the LPT1 port to the switch's LPT1 B side and from the I/O (LPT1) port on the switch to the printer with a LPT1 to USB cable to a USB A to B transgender adaptor. I cannot seem to get the GX270's LPT1 port to recognize the USB device to make it functional. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
