Re: HEC WinPower Win 550UB any comment on this psu?
Oh the guy I bought it from, lives in San diego and stopped by PC power and coolings office and got the delta replaced with a less noisy nidec fan. That should make is quieter shouldn't it? ...
Re: HEC WinPower Win 550UB any comment on this psu?
Galvanized, actually no. I am just curious about this psu as people tend to say HECs are great psus and are well respected in Europe.
I just bought a year old PC Power & Cooling 510 SLI and am waiting on the Supermicro pws-0060 being available at buy.com. They had it for sale at $108 with free shipping.
Thanks guys for the posts. Truly appreciate it. ...
Whoops!! Newbie Alert. So after a quick re-read, I see that you mentioned the MGE duro is 900W psu is built by seventeam. I did some google research yesterday and found out that seventeam is a fairly reputed psu builder. I also read your blog where you were mentioning that a new, more reliable review would be put up by someone you know. I am waiting for that review I guess.
Any idea who makes these psus for Rosewill? I have had two rosewill powering my folding rigs for over 2 years now without any issues. Any body had a chance to identify who is the actual supplier of these units?Re: OCZ GameXStream 600/700W psu - p...I have had two
both the 600W and 700W psu I am thinking these are possibly rebadged Fortron Epsilon series psu. Any body has any idea if OCZ is switching their Psu suppliers and now moving towards Fortron/FSP/Sparkle route?
Considering they come with the OCZ bling, price of these modules seemed very close to the fortron Epsilon ones.
Tiresias, First of all let me start by saying that, this is one of the best answers I have gotten for questions I have posted online. Thank you!!
I dont have any other questions. You answered them all very well. From what I heard from you and Galvanized, there is no doubt this is a great psu. I do have few adapter laying around so it should serve my purpose very well.
Thanks again for taking the time to answer my questions. Truly appreciate it.
Galvanized, I know you will be reading this, can't thank you...
Tiresias, As per galvanized's suggestion, I had been doing some research on this Supermicro PSU that you had reviewed above. Since you own the psu personally here are a few questions I have:
1) How stable would you say is the 12V rail? I am looking to run an overclocked Pentium D 930 which is a fairly power hungry cpu along with 2 HDs, 1 DVD-RW, 1 x1900xt and a sound card in an Asus P5wd2 pre mobo.
2) During my research I found out that this psu does not come with any PCI-Express connector and no sata connector as well....
