Re: Old LG LCD TV slowly dying
Sorry for the late reply, I didn't want to do it yesterday as I was waiting for some natural light to fill the room.
Unfortunately, I can't deliver any images of HD content, as my PC is currently not hooked up to the TV. So, here are two from the movie The Nut Job (.avi format, via a Phillips DVD player). I also can't deliver any comparison images, because the TV craps out too soon. So the only comparison I can provide is a screenshot taken from the same file, similar timestamp, but from my PC.Re: Old LG LCD TV slowly dying...

Old LG LCD TV slowly dying
Maybe that isn't the best way to put it, since I've had zero problems with it throughout the years, but it looks like it's on its way to hell.
LG 42LG5000 tv, about 5-6 years old, has started causing problems two days ago. A minute after turning it on, the colors start to brighten up drastically, leading to a washed/gray-ish screen.
I know I can't fix the problem myself, I would just like to know what to expect when I take it to the shop in a couple of days. Is this a cheap fix that's worth it, or must some expensive...
