When you say "reserved...power issue with adapter" does it mean the 19v power supply was damaged ? Was it still providing 19v or was the problem eslwhere ?
Actually after googling and checking the only issue similar to mine is yours.
I definilty checked my power supply and it does provide 19V.
Any clue maybe you could please help me out with ?

dell xps 13 L322x (2012/13)
Hi,
I am seeking tips on mobo repair in beautiful dell xps13 L322x (2012/13). Its a bga IvyBridge with qs77/76? chipset.
Symptomps:
Black screen, not a flash of light. Keyboard light is on, keyboard does not read keys (like FN + turn off Keyb.Light, or caps lock switching)
Stays on, until you switch it off with PWBTN, produces quite a heat and I didnt saw fan spinning since then.
It happened when I was rebooting Ubuntu, and when you expect to see Logo flash there was only black screen. At that momment I had to go away for like 5-10 minutes thinking...

Bios from different manufacturer
Hi, I gotta Acer NB , got myself replacement Mobo, originating from PackardBell. Motherboards are same with only difference name of NorthBridge, original Acer states RS880 , while current PackBell got RS780M. Everything else is same , even those chips soldered on Mobo got same "names".
I wonder If its :generaly: safe to put Acer BIOS into this PackBell mobo. My concern is really fucked up Keyboard layout by PackBell.
Thx for anything =)

Re: Mobo in coma
Hmm that is some heavy weight info too =). Didnt find that anywhere and its actualy quite crucial behavior imho. Thank you sir !
That kinda vouches for my conclusion ... dead cpu, since the silver paste spilling incident...

Re: Mobo in coma
That is the word on the table ! Thank you sir ! I did not realized that
For another thing , how usualy mobos act when turned on without CPU ? Is possible that Im simply hunting ghost, with "just" dead cpu ?

Re: Mobo in coma
Out of curiosity, can bad northbridge cause mobo not-POST ?
I mean If it (NB) would be unsoldered from mobo , would the "working" mobo POST ? Or it depends... (on bios etc..)?

Re: Mobo in coma
Thx for answers.
Yea both my gfx and cpu got some paste "under" those tiny fagot parts on them. Does not matter in case of CPU, because mobo should start to POST without it right ?
Spilled GPU might seem bad, but Ive actualy tested those tiny parts , and they seem fine , I mean they usualy form some groups with same resistance (like 75 / 30)... and none off them are shorted. Actualy Ive tryed to measure resistance of that silver compound and found that Im unable to measure anything, even with 2Mohm range , and like half milimeter...

Mobo in coma
Hi,
I would like to ask all of you, experienced eli doctors, for little advice with my faint mobo. Ima just regular home user with DMM and courage.
so in galaxy far aw.......
Ive cleaned and re-pasted my notebook. Was stupid enough to use 10+ years old silver-based paste and possibly spilled something on gfx/cpu parts on their dye. Ive cleaned it as hard as I could.
(acer aspire 5552G) s1s4 socket, phenom cpu, on Rs880m north bridge , dedicated gfx hd5650.
