I have another chance to swap parts between three monitors.
Gericom T2000 - faulty LVDS cable
Acer AL2023 - turns the backlight off after a while
Acer AL2423 - backlight problem.
AL2023 + logic board from AL2423 - backlight problem persists
AL2023 + panel from T2000 (the same model/revision) - backlight FIXED!
Some CCFT has a problem
AL2423W - recapped primary capacitors (C22,C24,C25,C30,C32) - backlight FIXED!
Couriously, the T2000 backlight works fine with no issue with...

I had the same issue. Does the board 'tickling' - all MOSFET-s?
I found one pair of MOSFETs shorted. I cannot find a new pair of BSC057N03MS.

I received brand new power board for AL2023. Problem still persists - I have to continue with control board, it looks like backlight-on signal falls too low. Power led stays green.Leave a comment:

What about to move this 22uF capacitor away from MOS heatsink? This failure is temperature - dependent. Monitor needs to be cca 1 minute turned off to work for 5 minutes.
The Zener diode ZD270 looks bad, too. There is brown circuit board beneath. What type it is?Leave a comment:

I have another Acer AL2023 - replaced all caps except two 10uF/50V in primary circuit/feedback control.
Monitor turned off backlight after 20 minutes. Green LED stayed on.
After turn off/on monitor works for anoher 15 minutes.
I have thought, that failure is in backlight circuit .
I put it away for a day. Then I decided to check reference design of power controller ( I haven't got two 10uF/50V capacitors on me) - there is 22uF capacitor for initial voltage of CM0765R. I tried to replace 10uF...Leave a comment:

I'm lazy to search in eBay - thank you for suggestion, I will do it next time.
It's pity, that Czech Republic hasn't introduced EURo - wired transfer fee is horrible. I prefer to order parts from DE or AT - no fees.Leave a comment:

I have AL2021 logic board as spare part, but I want to use it in Belinea 102005 monitor. There is graphic chip dead, but microcontroller might be OK.
They have the same design and chip.
My question is:

OK, I found, that resistors are NC. (in the schema)
You have to trace that grey, magenta and blue wire to the panel board.
There is one SMD fuse just behind LVD to protect panel.
If there is voltage behind the fuse, we have to return back to Genesis chip.
You have to have oscilloscope to detect signals @ data pins of CN5.
If there is no signal - then panel is OK, control chip is probably dead.

You can also check 3,3_DVDD @ emitors of Q8,Q9,Q10. If there is no voltage, you probably cut the line under C196 during exchange. It is power for keyboard and LEDs, too.Leave a comment:

Use diagram 02. SDRAM/AMP/OUTPUT - CN5.
Follow wire colors from PCB to LVD and check voltages there.
