Re: Dell U3011 no display after a few minutes
Thank you.
I turned the brightness and contrast down to the point where the screen is just barely visible. The monitor has been on for almost five hours straight with no issue.
What is this indicative of?Re: Dell U3011 no display after a few minutes

Dell U3011 no display after a few minutes
I have a Dell U3011. Display will work fine for about 10 minutes then goes completely black. Power LED stays lit and menu buttons still light up and respond to touch but no OSD menu displays.
Monitor will work for a short time if power is left unplugged for a few minutes.
Issue started shortly after main circuit breaker was tripped when there was a short in the wiring to an outdoor water pump,
Note: I have not begun a teardown for visual inspection of components yet.
Any help is appreciated as always.

Re: Pioneer PDP-4304 - Blinking red LED on power up
The red led blinks 11 times (I think) stops for a second and then repeats.
Which according to the service manual if I'm reading it correctly indicates "Unit having higher temperature" but I'm not entirely sure I'm interpreting the blink codes correctly.

Pioneer PDP-4304 - Blinking red LED on power up
My latest curbside rescue is a Pioneer PDP-4304. Worked fine for a few hours then shut off. The LED indicator blinks red on power up. I saw another post about entering service mode via the remote in order to do initial troubleshooting. Unfortunately I don't have the OEM remote.
Any advice is appreciated.

Envision/AOC L32W861 - incorrect (inverted?) color
Picked up an AOC L32W861 (along with a few other tvs ) before curbside pickup took them to a landfill. The color comes up looking like it's inverted. I haven't opened it up yet to see if there are any visibly bad components yet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Sony KDL40S2000 IR remote sensor no longer works
Hi all,
I have a Sony KDL40S2000 LCD TV. That can no longer be controlled via the remote. I've tried several universal remotes and also verified the OEM remote works with another TV. Also tried pointing the remote at a camera and the IR beam is visible. I've never heard of these IR receivers going bad before. I'm wondering if this could just be due to a lose cable or something similar.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: Phillips 47pfl7422d/37 Left side dim
I ended up getting a replacement slave inverter off of ebay and recapping it. The TV has been working great ever since.

Re: Phillips 47pfl7422d/37 Left side dim
No visual burn marks that i noticed. I guess I would need to go back and test them with a multimeter. But if the mosfets are bad I'd most likely replace the inverters....

Phillips 47pfl7422d/37 Left side dim
Hi All,
I've done a bit of reading regarding other users who have had the same problem. The caps on the slave inverter were clearly blown soI went ahead and recapped both the master and slave inverters using these caps.. However the left side still appears to be dim. (The right side is working fine).
I considered trying to use the master inverter on the left side to see the CCFL is still working properly. But the cables aren't long enough for me to do so. Now I'm left with...
