You should use the appropriate one, they have different resistances and use different methods to sense the temperature.

What is your daxis model / ref ?
For 936 clone type stations I recommend, for all-round work, the 900-M series: Shape D or C , 2~2.4 sizes
I would prefer the 9000M-T-2.4D, but you can't always get what you want, so I'm using this [URL="http://www.ebay.com/itm/BEST-900M-T-2C-V2-Replaceable-936-Soldering-Solder-Iron-Tip-/370902264072"]BEST 900M-T-2C[/URL] from ebay and it's a good tip for the price, you can see it in the photos

I've been looking to buy some tips for my Daxis "Hakko 939" clone soldering station for ages!
I'm stuck with the default tip that came with it: a conical Gordak 900M-T-I
Local stores here sell Hakko 900M tips for 10 to 13 euros!
Ended up buying a crap 1.6D tip from ebay some years ago that did nothing.

Help id low esr labeled cap
I think they came from a bad PSU.
They have LOW ESR written on opposite side
??
If they turn to be bad, at least they replaced sacon FZs successfully ,
bringing up a dead sparkle geforce 6 !... -

The big C8 was peeled off a bit by the external case and was in contact with it.
After fixing that the [I]contraption [/I]was powered and surprise... power and smoke too!
With my naked eye, I don't see burned components except the [I]fine engineered [/I] plastic film used between components
who was next to a resistor (you can see it at the top of pic 2 between the trans and the heatsink)
Attempted to power it again , no smoke, 5.11V and 12.32V readings.
But after 1 minute...Leave a comment:

thermaltake lasted 4 days after recap
This w0009 "rated" 420W psu has stopped working after recap, lasting 4 days.
When powered all fans spin very shortly and everything dies.
I have +5.17V on 5VSB purple rail

yellow: Jenpo ce-le 2200uF 16v (replaced with NCC KZE)
red: two Teapo 3300uF 10v

I broke, what seems to be, a clip at the top middle of my cover to completely remove it.
The MST9131B LCD Controller (U201) POWER PINs
VDDP(3.3V)and VDDC(2.5V) are all low (1V).
Noticed small solder balls in the mainboard left side , could also have dry solder joints?!
The electrolytic caps are: RJ4 ELNA 16V 100UFRe: Sony SDM-HS74
