I'll take a look at the circuitry on the circuit board connecting to the tab bond and see if anything seems off. I think it's unlikely that the TV is water damaged. I take it this is almost certain not to be a TCON issue?

Hoping for some advice on leads in troubleshooting an LN46a550 with picture issues.

I've reseated the TCON cables, cleaned the contacts, I also checked the tab bonds and added thermal pads to the three leftmost vertical bonds. I couldn't really get the behavior to improve at all by doing strain relief or thermal relief of the tab bonds, particularly the leftmost one.

The picture issue is limited to the leftmost side of the screen most of the time, but it is possible to get picture dependent horizontal lines as well. This is most noticable...
