Re: 42PFL7422D/37 Philips Screen Flicker issues
I have the same thing happening. My picture went out. I replaced the inverter boards with NEW alternative boards (confirmed compatible replacements). Picture is back with the same exact symptoms as the OP stated. I am considering having ShopJimmy rebuild my original boards, but I am not sure the problem is with the boards as they were brand new. The flicker was definitely not there before I lost my picture. I did notice that if I turn the contrast all the way up to 100 it almost goes away, but the picture does not look so great that...

Re: KLIPSCH KSW-10 amplifier
Hey guys! I am really cramped for time with all this holiday stuff and have not had a chance (until now) to check anything out or reply. I will do my best to check all of the things you mentioned and get back asap! The amp does nothing but start to get hot around the dark areas if you plug it in and power it up. The resistors get hot almost immediately and I just turned it off quickly after feeling that. Something is definitely out of whack! Thanks for the quick replies!! I am just getting into this stuff on the next level from changing fuses, cleaning...

Hello,
I have a Klipsch sub amp that needs repair. It may be the rectifier, some (what appear to be) FET's and resistors. Here are some pictures to get started. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated!...

Re: 42PFL7422D/37 Service Manual Needed
I will see if it shows up in a picture, but it was a soft darkened line about an inch up from the bottom of the screen and about 1-2 inches wide. Let me try and get a picture.

Re: 42PFL7422D/37 Service Manual Needed
Ok, well thanks for the info and quick reply. I also just noticed a slight dim/dark line across the bottom of the screen.....about an inch from the very bottom. Are there any parts that I can replace or repair to fix the set? I am motivated and cannot afford a new set as of now. Is it probable that the new boards are faulty?
Thanks!

Re: 42PFL7422D/37 Service Manual Needed
Also, I forgot to mention, the picture seems grainy. Not too long before the picture went out I had purchased the Disney WOW! calibration disc and had all of my settings dialed in (they really did not change much from the way I had them) and the picture was crystal clear and not grainy at all. I used several different discs and streamed videos of very familiar material to confirm it was not just the first thing I watched after the repair.

Re: 42PFL7422D/37 Service Manual Needed
Hello,
First off, to all the helpful posters, Thank you very much!
So, I have a PHILIPS 42PFL7422D/37. It went black. The symptoms were as follows;
-TV powered up, showed status for approximately 2 seconds (bar across the top of the screen showing "HDMI 1 on the left and the time on the right" then no picture and just sound.
-with a flashlight to the screen I could see the picture
-the blue power led was lit
My conclusion, due to research of...
