Re: Technika LED32-248 - Horizontal & Vertical Lines
Found this TV again in the back of the middle bedroom, so took it out.
It works and fails sporadically. When failing, it does the following:

Working fine at the moment, with occasional flickering like the video above. Gets really bad then back to OK for a while and repeat etc.Re: Technika LED32-248 - Horizontal & Vertical Lines

Samsung PS51D550 - Sound but no picture
Hi Guys,
With your help last year, I successfully managed to track down and repair a zsus problem with this TV.
The other night, I fell asleep whilst watching it to wake up to a blank screen with sound, and some unusual coloured dots in the top left hand corner as per image 1.
I am about to take the same steps as I took last time to figure out what is at fault, but can anybody point me in the right direction?
Thought it could be power related as the screen 'appears' to try to work?
Please help - My 42" backup TV looks...

Re: Technika LCD42-910 Buzzing PSU
Anybody else any bright ideas?
TV works perfect, just this very faint humming noise gets annoying when you 'hear' it because once you have heard it, you cannot unheard it. lol

Top left circled area ish. Could also be coming from the 3 components under the heatsink in the middle at top

Yes from that area. Any ideas?
I will pull the diodes out and test.

Technika LCD42-910 Buzzing PSU
Hi Guys,
Recently stripped down a LCD42-910 that is making a buzzing noise.
Straight away saw 3/4 caps that were bulging - One with a hole! Result, or so I thought.
Swapped them out, and still have the noise.
Anybody any ideas?
Im assuming its to do with those diodes up the top, but have no idea how to test them, and they show values in BOTH directions :S...Last edited by Wabby; 07-06-2015, 02:13 PM.

Re: Sanyo DP42849 - HDMI Doesn't Work
Don't want to sound stupid, but if you have tried all the HDMI inputs with the same cable and the 360 - Maybe try a different cable or a different device?
The 360 may be pumping out a res above what the TV can accept.

Re: Technika LED32-248 - Horizontal & Vertical Lines
Oh yeah - sorry.
The blue lines on the no signal screen are only present once you have put a connection to any of the inputs.
So if I turn the TV on from cold, it works fine and perfect until I add a source (any source) and then it behaves like this, until a cold start again with no inputs connected.

Technika LED32-248 - Horizontal & Vertical Lines
Hi Guys,
Got an LED with the following image problem (only occurs once an input is put in the main board - until that point the image is clear from a cold start).
I have changed the TCON and that made no difference. Are these main boards going to be component repairable, or am I best just swapping the board out?
I assume its the main thats gone?
Cheers

Re: Samsung PS51D550 51" Plasma - Issue? Any Help?
Cheers pal. Will test them this evening.
X-SUS are cheap enough to and easy enough to source for me to not even bother with component repair if any of them are shorted.
I had it down as the X-SUS only, so does that sound right? Probably no issue with the Y-SUS?
Cheers...

Whats the model number of the main board?
Sounds like a bridge rectifier to me ...

Samsung PS51D550 51" Plasma - Issue? Any Help?
Hi Guys,
I have a PS51D550 and it will not power on. I have performed some test but I am unsure as to the exact results of those tests.
Issue: When powered on, the front LED will flash 6 times, and then go off. Nothing comes on the screen.
Tests:
I have tested the following:
1) I have tested for Vs and Va and have neither when everything is connected up. If I disconnect the power to the X-SUS board (which is powered from the Y-SUS, not from the PSU directly) then I get the Vs and the Va, however they start dropping almost right...
