  • Re: XBOX Original - Won't power on

Yeah both of my XBOX's are the 1.6 version, and I read a lot through out the internet about the leaky clock capacitor.

Now that you mention it, I'll probably replace the clock caps in my 1.6 XBOX's as well as soon as I get my soldering tools....

Thanks for the replys guys, I very much appreciate your point of views. And yeah, I won't buy the caps from Ebay, it's too risky.

I will definitely buy them from the BC webstore, the price and shipping is reasonable so I'll just go with that. Before doing any of this, I'll first get used to soldering and desoldering on a spare broken XBOX motherboard and get the hang of it.

Haha what's wrong with that, fake capacitors? I'd buy them off a reputable Ebay seller!...

    Thanks for the reply guys.

I prefer not to buy the caps from these online stores because shipping is quite a rip off, so I will be looking on Ebay.

    I believe these will work:

  • XBOX Original - Won't power on

Hello, I am a big fan of the original XBOX and I decided to buy (another) one. Taking it home and plugging it in, I discovered that it didn't even turn on. I searched through the internet and I read a lot of people saying it's most likely a power supply issue, so I decided to look myself. I also have another original XBOX that works fine with the same power cords, so it's not a cable issue.

So then I opened up both XBOX's. The one that works looks fine, the PSU is a DELTA brand and it shows no signs of wear on top or underneath. Everything on the motherboard looks fine as well....

  • Re: Sony CECH-ZED1U Playstation 3D LED TV - Two Red Flash

The only problem I've had with the PS3 3D display was the screen going blank for a second or two, and then picture comes back. Scouring the net, I came upon the official thread on the PS3 forum and someone mentioned to put a USB fan at the back of the TV.

Believe it or not, that worked for me. A USB fan stuck to the back has fixed the blacking out issue. No matter what level of blacklight I use on the TV, it hasn't blacked out since. I would love a permanent solution to this problem, but it looks like the USB...

Hello. I do not like to throw my electronics out or have someone else fix it, but I do seek knowledge.
