Re: Sony KDL 52w5500 No image, no Backlights
HFR is the High Frame Rate convertor, located under the T- Con.
The inverter pcb should have a pin marked inv/on or something similar. This will almost always be a high (sometimes only 2.9 volts or so) and tells the invertor circuit to fire the lamps. The hfr/t-con pcb must be operational before the main CPU puts out the "on", If the on is there, the problem is invertor or lamps. BE careful if you have operational uncovered invertors. Get too close to a transformer or lamp connection and the first thing you'll notice...

Re: 14 blinks TC-P50ST30
You might want to install screws with lock washers on SC and SS pcb's Make sure length is same as originals, and do not over tighten.

Re: Panasonic TH-50PX75U 10 blinks
10 blinks on this model is usually an internal thermal fuse on smps. Hadn't heard of it being intermittent. Maybe it is thermally cycling. Win Tips says install a 7 amp micro-fuse between R251 and R252 on bottom of smps. Might want to try that....
