Re: SHARP/BESTBUY LC-50LB481U Need to lower current to led"s
I guess what I'm asking is which resistors and at what value should I start at? I'm just looking for a head start, I don't want to make a bad mistake

Re: SHARP/BESTBUY LC-50LB481U Need to lower current to led"s
I've added sticky aluminum muffler tape under those open leds. Cut into strips and can attach ends to chassis. But I believe the current reduced is the best option for lasting.
Can't figure out what to change to reduce the current on this circuit.
Could use some direction here.

Re: SHARP/BESTBUY LC-50LB481U Need to lower current to led"s
I think there is a bit of confusion here. The schematic is for three different power boards. Page 56 and 58 are for 32" and 43". They basically use the same IC U8601. Page 61 is for the 50". Completely different circuit.

SHARP/BESTBUY LC-50LB481U Need to lower current to led"s
Morning all,
Have the above model that had the led strips replaced by me. Second set ordered and I need information on how to lower the current to the led"s. I've done this to other sets using current limiting resistors and the sets have been fine for 4 years. The problem is that Sharp barely recognizes this model and bestbuy just wants the set in their shop. The power board:
715G8095-P01-000-0035(board number)
pltvfy751aau4/fy751aau4(sticker number)
I traced from the the led socket and it goes to two 8 pin chips. Can't see any current limiting...

Pioneer VSX-D309 No audio with speakers, ok with headphones
I just got the above unit that works with headphones but not with the speakers alone connected. Speakers check fine. Opened unit up and checked all fuses(glass and micro). Fusible resisters in the preamp and amp section are ok too. When power is pressed, the power relay is heard then about one second later the speakers relay engages. No sound.
Could the PAC012A/013A IC'S have opened up?
Anyone encounter this?

Clear tunes ct-1314n prison set
Looking for a remote for this 13" clear view plastic tv set. No matter how many universal remotes I've looked at, there is no listing. Ebay has it listed, but the remote goes for $60.00.
The mainboard # I can clearly see.
CV318L-L / 35H0569 D(white sticker).
There is a ton of manufacturers using this board.
I'm hoping someone went thru this before and give me a heads up.
Set by design has no speakers(only headphone jack). I can see the remote receiver.
Thanks for looking,
Mykolas

Re: Vizo L32HDTV10A No digital input on main board
I picked up the set, picked the "dtv" option from the input source. Went to the menu to select "tv" option the screen goes blue and the menu disappears. Can not get the menu back unless you turn the set off.
Tried to find the firmware update on the Vizio website but no luck finding it.
I considered replacing main but if the board does not have the latest upgrade I'll be back to square one.
Asking to see if someone on the list would know where to get the upgrade(if one exists)....

Re: Sylvania lc370ss8m dead as a doornail
Sorry it took so long to get back to this problem (many shootings in my neighborhood in Chicago) I had to move the family elsewhere.
To make a long story short, I traced and found 3.3v standby voltage changing value from 2.7v to 3.1v whenever I measured it. Checked the 3.3v line to the power transformer and found nothing wrong, No leaky diodes or bad caps. Applied a bit of heat to Ic637(3.3v regulator) and the set began to work.
Checked good out of circuit but under load started to break down.
All fine...

Sylvania lc370ss8m dead as a doornail
My personal set developed a white picture and channel is frozen. I replaced the main board and all was fine. Two days later the set was dead. No red indicator light. Opened set, fuse, fusible resistors, caps all checked good in the two power supplies. Put the original main board back thinking that went bad, but same issue. Checking voltages I found 166v(hot ground) to the drain of Q501 where the schematic says it should be -3v. IC501 #6 VDD should be 16v but I found it fluctuating between 9-10v. All other voltages on this ic(power controller) are missing or extremely low.
I thought this...
