Re: LG55LF6000UB - Cycles Off and On
With steady voltages coming from the power supply, I'm thinking the problem is on the main board. Any thoughts?

It made no difference....

i will try heating the entire board and gently tap on those said chips.

Re: LG55LF6000UB - Cycles Off and On
Thanks for replying so fast. I figured out the legend, sorry for the confusion. Here are my readings:
PWR-ON = 3.18v
GND = OK
13.2V = 13.1v
13.2V = 13.1v
GND = OK
DRV-ON = 3.25v
PDIM1 = 1.11v
GND = OK
13.2V = 13.1v
13.2V = 13.1v
13.2V = 13.1v
PDIM2 = 1.16v

LG55LF6000UB - Cycles Off and On
Hello,
i have a 55LF6000 LG tv that cycles off and on when turned on. I have unplugged the LED strips and using a light to look at the display, I noticed that the tv is still cycling off and on. My thoughts are power supply or main board is the problem. The voltages for the power rails are not clearly identifiable. Any ideas? Thanks....

Re: LC-40E67UN SHARP No Picture
budm,
The part number for IC301 is THV3056.

Re: LC-40E67UN SHARP No Picture
budm,
After unplugging one cable then vice versa, I am able to get both halves of the screen to come up with slightly different shades but for less than half a second after tv is first turned on. When I turn the tv off and back on again, in order to repeat, There is no difference between either side.

Re: LC-40E67UN SHARP No Picture
I have looked at the LVDS data lines and I see a pattern on the oscilloscope. Whether or not it's a good pattern, who knows but I also see that the lines are inverted pairs (meaning positive and negative). At this point I truly believe I have a bad t-con. I'm hoping the panel is not shorted in some way. I really would hate to put money into a good t-con to just die. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Re: LC-40E67UN SHARP No Picture
Could you please enlighten me to the locations and the possible values of such said voltages? I know of the 12v coming from the power supply....

Re: LC-40E67UN SHARP No Picture
After trying to connect a source to the correct input, I'm able to get sound from the tv. Now, I'm wondering if it is the t-con or panel?

On the t-con, I tested 12.13v and fuse is good.

LC-40E67UN SHARP No Picture
Hey Guys,
I have a this tv which will power on and display a backlight but with no picture. On the main board, there is a small red LED that blinks. I am thinking that it could be either a bad main board or T-Con. Any ideas? Attached are the photos.
Thanks....

Re: Philips 39pfl2608/f7 no power
After putting the TV away for a bit, I went back to it and found the problem to be the ribbon cable between the power supply and main board. There were three broken connections on it. I guess I could be slapping myself but that would hurt!
Thanks budm for the help. Cheers!

Re: Philips 39pfl2608/f7 no power
Yes, you are correct, I did solder PROTECT3 back together. I tested the following points with the 1k resistors still in place and the backlight is on:
AMP+13V = 12.5V
P-ON+21V = 21.1V

Re: Philips 39pfl2608/f7 no power
budm,
The backlights are on a long as I have power plugged in. Using three 1k resistors jumped from 3.3v to BL_SW, BL_ADJ and P-ON-H2. The connector is unplugged from main board. Unlike the other member's thread, PROTECT3 does have 3.1v on it.
I see in the comments you say if the PROTECT 3 signal is OK, then we will need to look at PROTECT 1 signal. What voltage can I expect to see on it?

budm,
I will use the post#40 of another thread you mentioned and report back my findings. Thanks for the help.

Re: Philips 39pfl2608/f7 no power
If i have 3.3v for standby, would this still not make the standby led on the front of the TV come on?

Re: Philips 39pfl2608/f7 no power
I cut PROTECT3 jumper J258 and the tv did not come on. Also, on one side of the now cut J258 reads 2.4v and the previous test points read P-ON-H2 = 0.0v and BL-SW = 0.0v
