I connected then reconnected all the ribbon flex cables connecting from the buffer boards to the panel. I had to remove a long strip of aluminum heat sink mounted over all the ic flex cables. Unfortunately I couldn't access these cables while the TV was on because the heat sink was in the way. This didn't fix the problem. This TV is only about 3 and a half years old. Do you know if these flex cables with built in ic's be replaced ? If not I guess I will strip the boards off it and junk the rest. Anyway Thanks R J, I appreciate your help.

I have an LG 60PZ550 that was manufactured in 2011. The fuse blew on the Z-SUS board and was professionally repaired about 5 months ago. Everything was working great until this problem occured. Everything works on the TV with the exception of 3 inches of vertical darkness on the left side of the screen. Inside the darkened part are thin vertical colored lines. I replaced the Y-SUS board but the same problem exists. The same problem exists with all inputs, different sources and cables.
