Re: Westinghouse VR-3215 loud hum
It's on all inputs. As soon as it get power the hum starts even with the volume all the way down. It does not go up and down with volume, it stays constant.Last edited by soothsayer; 03-08-2014, 10:57 AM.

Westinghouse VR-3215 loud hum
I'm getting a loud hum with my audio on my Westinghouse VR-3215 (checked 3 inputs, all hum). I looked at the power supply board but didn't see any crowned or leaking caps. Any suggestions on where to look......
Just found this on fixya-
"I just fixed a neighbor's by replacing the 2200MFD capacitor on the power supply board. Thanks for the help, worked great. If you replace it got for a 16V instead of the 10V and hopefully it won't fail that way again."

Sacon replacements?
I've got an old NVidia 6600 with bad caps. They are SACON
4- FZ2A,105*c,6.3v, 1500uf
2- FZ3A,105*c,16v,470uf
2- FZ3A, 105*c,6.3v, 1000uf
I understand these all need to be replaced but I'm a newbie with a 60w iron ready to go but don't know what I should replace them with or where to get them. I live in CT. USA
