Here is the current service menu config, I couldn't see anything meaningful in the way of labels on the LCD panel, I gather I am looking for a series of values?:

Hi Forum,

I just picked up a Tivo LTV40FHD that was headed for the scrap heap. Has a strange color misalignment issue. I am hoping that someone might be able to offer some suggestions to help me resurrect it.

The unit has a Samsung Panel LTA400HM17 inside.

What I've done so far (fairly minimal):

Reseated all connectors on the main board
Reseated the flat flex cable at the panel end
Reset the TV via the User menu
Reset the TV via the Service Menu (SOURCE, then 2, 5, 8, 0 on the remote for future Googlers)

Hi all,

I have been in the electro-mechanical/IT service game for around 17 years. I'm not a electronics 'tech', though I have managed to repair my fair share of devices over the years, from caps on mainboards, Digital SLRs, inkjet printers, laser printers etc.

I was recently introduced to the Arduino and the massive community that surrounds it and have been enjoying tinkering with that, but I still get a kick from breathing life into some dead or dying gear in a ever increasing throw-away society....
