• Silverstone ST56F with Teapo capacitors – Is there any need for replacement?

    Hi there,

My new SilverStone power supply model ST56F is using Teapo caps in both of its filtrating stage. Just curious if the Teapo caps still are garbage or become better quality in recent years. Is there any need of Teapo replacement from my side? I have purchase this ST56F model for $ 77.

    Thanking you so much.

    Re: Vga Fan Speed

Thanks for the info. Would you please recommend me some suitable heat sink and fan for such purposes? Please provide me some options (in order of performance) preferably with product's link from newegg.com. I'm living in Qatar and many of those quality products from famous manufacture and brands in not available in our market.

    Re: Vga Fan Speed

Thanking you so much for all of the comments. The fact is that the VGA cooling systems and brands you are talking about is not available in my country. The only VGA cooler I have found is Zerotherm Hurricane HC92 Cu model in local stores. The following link:

    http://www.zerotherm.net/eng/product/HC92CU-88.asp

Is this a suitable model for current graphic card (XFX 9600 GSO) ? How about if I want to upgrade my graphic card in future - Is this VGA cooler still workable? I really need a silent and high performance cooler and...

    Vga Fan Speed

    Hi there,

Is this possible for me to reduce the fan speed of my VGA card (XFX 9600 GSO) using a resistor in series? Or is there any other easy way for that. The fact is that I'm sure I can not adjust the fan speed, because the fan on the heatsink only uses a two pin connection. See the attached image please. The sound is killing me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanking you.

    Thanks for your reply over.

The fact is that I don't know whether the board is still live or not. When I assemble the old PC (which still working with my Asus board) and going to use Winfast board; this is not any clear sign (at least for me) indicating the board is still live. No post, no beep, really nothings. In a nutshell, the PC is not able to turn-on. So, I want to be sure if the problem is from those crap capacitors and replacing such large number (at least 36) of caps will bring the life to it.

  • My first post - Winfast K7NCR18G-Pro

    Hi there,

I'm completely new here. This is my first post.

Some years ago, I have purchased a Winfast K7NCR18G-Pro motherboard manufactured by leadtek. This board failed after 1.5 years. So, I have replaced that board with an Asus A7N8X-X. On those days, I haven't any information regarding bad capacitors on main board. Recently I have registered to this site and read many topic regarding bad brand capacitors and instruction on possible replacement. This failed board is still in my shelf (pretty clean) and if possible I want to start my first re-capping experiments...
